So my first post won’t have to do with sports. I know a couple people that don’t want to have to read that for 40 days. So in my first post; stupid and rude people are on my mind. We’ll start with this afternoon in my construction documents class. In this class we sit in a computer lab and are free to listen to music, walk in and out and so on. I take full advantage of this. I often receive calls on my phone, so I walk out of the room and answer them. Well today, people started listening to music. Like all of a sudden, it became popular. Micah and I could hear probably a dozen different songs going at once. Micah and I work together on our projects because it’s nice having two brains thinking and looking over things than just one. All of a sudden out of the blue, we hear loud metal music blaring. This girl about 10 feet away from us had her headphones on with the volume at like 100% max. Our teacher glanced over at her and she turned it down just a little bit but still very loud. Micah said to me, “Ben, do you think she cares that there are 25 other students in here working?” I said, “nope, probably not.” She finally left class about a half hour before it was officially over and we both where just like wow, maybe tomorrow we should bring ear plugs. Now don’t get me wrong, I listen to loud music and I have a girlfriend who listens to it as well; metal in particularly. But she cares when I ask to turn it down but this girl was just rude to us and everyone in the room. It isn’t too hard to listen to odd and end music types when you’re studying, but when it’s blaring throughout the class room, things just aren’t going to fare well.

Homework

Wow!

(Math) (Tuesday and Thursday class)

So every Thursday, our teacher gives us a problem set out of the book that we have to do for homework and turn in on Tuesday after the weekend. He usually posts the assignments on Wednesday nights. The kid that sits next to me is a pretty smart guy. He talks my ear off but its all good. But he usually does the homework Thursday afternoons and brings it into class Thursday evening. I don’t look at the homework at all until I get there. He writes down the homework problems and I do them during class. As I do the problems, he checks his against mine. He does all right, sometimes needs to fix things though. So we did this last week Thursday and today. So far we got 60/60. Sweet. So today, our teacher gave the class a break, half way through, and said we’d work in groups on our homework when we got back. I raised my hand asking if we could leave if we had it done already. So I got to leave 40 mins early because I did my fricken homework! It felt really good.

Communication

Why didn’t I go into communication or business?? So I don’t give my speech for a week and a half. I got my test back from last Thursday, and I got a 48/50. I didn’t study for it at all, I totally forgot about it. I enjoy speaking, and such, not the best writer but oh well. So, 5 min speech on my camera, lets get started!

an interesting weekend

Nik and I went to Thai Palace yesterday for lunch, it was so good. I had pad thai, and I emptied a couple limes on it and it tasted so much better. That fish sauce taste is icky, so more limes the better. Nik had some soup that she picked octopus out of. The night before we went to GVSU and the women where drunk for Amanda and Jess’s birthdays. Ryan and I are good boyfriends for taking such good care of our girlfriends. : ) Today we’re just chillin Nik has class this evening and then who knows and I get to drive back to school tomorrow am. I have to go to Sprint today and tell them to F off because they are trying to charge me for Cassie’s internet, when I went in and asked them to take it off before this months month started. Other than that, time to go cook some lunch.

325 Cedar Ct

I went home today to chill with the fam because Nik was working a double. I got here around 1ish, dad was sleeping due to working and ambulase runs all night, mom was at work and everyone else was at school. I layed down with Zeus for a little bit, I didn’t sleep well last night. I woke up to hear the chatter of Tim, Shelby and Cassie walking in the front door. By now the Lake Michigan snow machines have kicked in and it was snowing horizonal outisde. I wanted to take pics of Tim with some snow and such, but it was really cloudy and they would have turned out crappy. I brought my ps2 down along with my 3 controllers and hockey. Tim and I started out playing and then Cassie tried to play. We wheren’t playing games, just a free for all. Cassie soon got sick of it and left and dad walked in. So you young guns need some elderly ass kicking? So yea, it was funny. He has no idea what hes doing or what buttons due what, hes just pushing everything. So after about 5 minutes trying to keep up with us, he decided to stand right in front of the net and get the rebounds. Doing this, he was having fun, he ended up scoring a couple times. Tim and I would chase eachother around and he’d just chill. Then after this excitement, dad and I went out to the garage and attempted to fix break number two. We got the tire off and ended up breaking the devise that disconnects the caliper from the router. So I had to hold our torch on it while dad ran to the store and perchased a new one. When he got back, we got the bolts off and the new breaks on. After that we headed back in, Tim and I played more hockey and they had tacos for dinner, but I’m waiting for Nik to call so I can go make us dinner : ) I got a couple things out of the freezer from here. So now, dads watching greys anatomy, mom and Abbie are at Meijer grocery shopping, and Tim, Pogo, Cassie and Shelby are on thier way back from Pogo’s house. Its been a good evening, and Im excited to see my sweeety and make her night better once she gets home : )

the wonderful world of food

So I’ve realized that sense I’ve met Nik, I’ve experienced a lot of different foods. One of them being Balsamic Vinegar. I’ve had the stuff that she bought from store, I’ve had the stuff that her and her mom makes and now I’ve tried the stuff from Mascar Grille here. They all taste different. I didn’t think I was going to like the one I got today. They didn’t have my usual Italian. After eating my salad, it wasn’t bad. The cheese on my salad helped cut the taste but it was sweetish, not vinegary tasting.

Other things I’ve been exposed to sense knowing Nik:

Sushi- Never before did I like rice. Never! I love sushi now, I want some, I’m on a sushi craving! I’ve only tried a couple different ones, and soon to experiment with some raw ones. I even tried to make it, though it fell a part, it was fun. Now I want to get the compression sushi maker to make the goodness!

Chinese-Thai food- I didn’t know anything about that. Now, I know what I want to order or get off the buffet no matter where we go.

Ramen Noodle Soup- I used to only eat the noodles, and drain the water out. Dan, said, it’s called Ramen Noodle Soup for a reason, to drink the soup after you are done.

There are many others that I cant name, because they where involved in so many meals. But I enjoy going grocery shopping with her, just to see what we can think of as we walk down the isles.

I love Golden Chopsticks, I have enjoyed Red Mesa and Pearls, and now are hot stop is BD’s. These restaurants, all of which I wasn’t a fan of the type of food, till I met my Nicole! The Thai/Chinese, Mexican, New Orleans style and the Stir fry. : )
