an interesting weekend
Nik and I went to Thai Palace yesterday for lunch, it was so good. I had pad thai, and I emptied a couple limes on it and it tasted so much better. That fish sauce taste is icky, so more limes the better. Nik had some soup that she picked octopus out of. The night before we went to GVSU and the women where drunk for Amanda and Jess’s birthdays. Ryan and I are good boyfriends for taking such good care of our girlfriends. : ) Today we’re just chillin Nik has class this evening and then who knows and I get to drive back to school tomorrow am. I have to go to Sprint today and tell them to F off because they are trying to charge me for Cassie’s internet, when I went in and asked them to take it off before this months month started. Other than that, time to go cook some lunch.
the wonderful world of food
So I’ve realized that sense I’ve met Nik, I’ve experienced a lot of different foods. One of them being Balsamic Vinegar. I’ve had the stuff that she bought from store, I’ve had the stuff that her and her mom makes and now I’ve tried the stuff from Mascar Grille here. They all taste different. I didn’t think I was going to like the one I got today. They didn’t have my usual Italian. After eating my salad, it wasn’t bad. The cheese on my salad helped cut the taste but it was sweetish, not vinegary tasting.
Other things I’ve been exposed to sense knowing Nik:
Sushi- Never before did I like rice. Never! I love sushi now, I want some, I’m on a sushi craving! I’ve only tried a couple different ones, and soon to experiment with some raw ones. I even tried to make it, though it fell a part, it was fun. Now I want to get the compression sushi maker to make the goodness!
Chinese-Thai food- I didn’t know anything about that. Now, I know what I want to order or get off the buffet no matter where we go.
Ramen Noodle Soup- I used to only eat the noodles, and drain the water out. Dan, said, it’s called Ramen Noodle Soup for a reason, to drink the soup after you are done.
There are many others that I cant name, because they where involved in so many meals. But I enjoy going grocery shopping with her, just to see what we can think of as we walk down the isles.
I love Golden Chopsticks, I have enjoyed Red Mesa and Pearls, and now are hot stop is BD’s. These restaurants, all of which I wasn’t a fan of the type of food, till I met my Nicole! The Thai/Chinese, Mexican, New Orleans style and the Stir fry. : )
The warm voice in my phone
Its not always the actions that people do, but the warm thoughts that come up. I phoned Nik when I was heading down to Plainwell, very upset because things where not going anyway near as I hoped. She told me to calm down, everything was going to be ok, she’d make me dinner and hot chocolate when I got home, just chill and get it taken care of. When I finally got home, she was busy, and I made the stuff myself, but just the thoughts of her wanting to do the stuff for me made me smile and made my day a little brighter : )
AGH! Bad day
Yesterday was such a bad day. I spent way more time doing stupid stuff because of stupid people. First I headed to my house around noon, to have dad put on a new set of breaks on my driver side front. It started grinding about 2 wks ago, but I haven’t had time to go home and get it fixed. I am absolutely car stupid. I missed that gene in my family. So dad was tried to get it a part and the bolt was on way too tight, and he ended up rounding off the bit to get the caliper off. So dad called around to see how much it would cost for a company to put them on. The cheapest we got was around $92 and it was in Grandville. So I drove my break grinding car up to Grandville, and dad and Tony drove Tony’s because Tony wanted to get a laptop. So we dropped my car off, and went to Best Buy. While we where there, the guy from the breaks place called dad to tell him he wasn’t going to put them on because he thought we needed new routers. So I drove back to Wayland, and got Mr. G’s torch and dad heated the thing up and we finally got it off. So we get it off and go to put the breaks on it that where in the back of my car and they where the wrong ones. The wrong ones, I was so pissed. This was around 7pm. So I drove dad’s truck down to Plainwell, and picked up new brake pads and headed back to the house. Once I got there, dad popped them on and in a matter of a half an hour, I was done. Finally, 8 1/2 hrs later. I then headed back to home, to be warm and with my girl. Thank you dad for all of your help, I really do appreciate it!

Sweetie, I just wanted to say that you are awesome and I’m glad to have 22 months of Anniversary with you. Thanks for buying me food and going out for pizza on our splurge day and accidentally getting the door shut right in your face. Didn’t mean to do that, but I wanted it to be a suprise and see everything in the candle light. Hope you are enjoying your weekend with me, and you’ll want to spend more with me!
hugs again, thank you!
